The Berryville Bluegrass Concert Series is a fund raising endeavor that supports the Clarke County High School Eagle Athletic Association, home of the Eagles. Berryville Bluegrass was founded by Frank and Cyndy Jurney.  The concert series draws upon Frank's many years as a bluegrass music promoter, and Frank and Cyndy work tirelessly throughout the year to bring the winter concert series to the Williams Community Auditorium in Berryville.

Go Eagles!

Did you know that Berryville Bluegrass is produced entirely with volunteer labor and donations from our generous sponsors?

Look for Frank and Cyndy, and "sound man" John Lyttle. Stop at the ticket table and say hello to Mary Lee, Cyndy's mom, who drives from southern Maryland to help out with each concert. Shane Rogers, Frank and Cyndy's son-in-law, also helps out at the ticket table.

Save room for a bite to eat from the concession stand staffed by Bruce and Kim Alder just to name a few of the dedicated volunteers!

The Berryville Bluegrass Series is successful because of these helpful individuals!

Each concert features athletes selling 50/50 tickets to raise funds for their individual team. The winners walk away with sizable prizes!

Our sincere thanks to these super fans who prepared meals for the visiting band members last season. JoAnn & Rick Leobold (November) and Greg & Karen Keyser (December). Gail & Jay Lucas and Rob & Linda Humphrey are hosting the February and March bands. Folks like these are what makes Berryville Bluegrass the success it is!

From a fan . . . .

I was very sorry to hear you had back problems, and had to miss the concert.  I have back problems too, so understand how much pain they can generate.  Your son-in-law did a great job of taking over for you, so give him a pat on the back.

It was the best ever concert, and I clapped so hard and so much my hands became swollen, and I couldn't even turn my rings, but it was worth it.  I even got a hug from Darin Vincent, and that was special.

I never get to tell you and Cyndy how much I appreciate your efforts, but believe me I do thank you for all you do.  These concerts give this old lady something to look forward to.  I heard a rumor that "Series 10" will be your last, and I do understand that it is a full time job for both of you, and you need a rest, but believe me, you will missed more than you can imagine.  In addition, I have made new buddies by getting acquainted with those who sit around me, especially Jack.  He is a cat-bird for sure, and I love him and his antics.

Enough rambling here, but just wanted you all to know how much you are appreciated.  Frank, I hope you will soon be up and kicking, maybe not as high, but kicking.

Merry Christmas to you all and your family . . .

God Bless  -  R.M.

Just a note ~ although some changes may take place, no decision has been definitely made about ending the Berryville Bluegrass Series after next year.
